Our mission is to safeguard fire lookouts for the purpose of fire detection, education, and historic preservation.

Early Fire Detection

We train volunteer Firewatchers to spot signs of smoke quickly from newly ignited wildfires. Catching smoke sooner gives firefighters more time to respond before the fire spreads.

Historic Preservation

Our volunteers restore and maintain historic lookout facilities so that they remain in service for fire detection and open to the public for visitation.
